DATA SCIENTIST II

Job Description:     

• This position  supports the Diminished Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) Team, (Code 315) is part of the Life Cycle Logistics & Readiness Division (Code 31) of the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD), provides program level management and leadership for logistics, and acquisition support programs and initiatives. 
• This includes the planning, development, production, procurement, and sustainment of logistic products for Hull, Mechanical and Electrical (HM&E) systems and equipment installed on Navy’s ships and submarines and coordination of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) updates associated with life cycle sustainment planning and execution for shipboard HM&E system and equipment.

Required Skills and/or Experience:    

• Five (5) years of experience in transforming raw data into meaningful insights through advanced data programming, statistical analysis, and visualization tools. 
• This individual should demonstrate strong analytical skills, proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or R, and expertise in SQL for data extraction and integration. 
• Key abilities include applying data mining, modeling, and machine learning techniques to analyze large datasets, as well as creating dynamic reports, dashboards, and visualizations

Degree Requirements:    

• Bachelors degree in engineering or business from an accredited college or university

• Must be a US Citizen
• A secret security clearance
