The role is primarily responsible for handling a variety of moderately complex assigned legal matters in Peru, under general supervision.

Role Responsibilities

Provides legal assistance to senior lawyers in the department and legal advice to business partners within the company, while coordinating with outside counsel.
Generally, supports a business area/sub region or in a special area of the law.
Develops organizational policies.
Researches and analyzes the law on moderately complex issues.
Under supervision, negotiates contracts, agreements and other legal documents that financially commit or otherwise bind the company.
May assist legal counsel in investigating and resolving complaints, disputes, at hearings and trials, as necessary.
This position is also responsible for addressing any inquiries or requirements related to the local license to operate in the country.

Role Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in law and at least 3 years of experience in a recognized law firm or corporate legal department primarily supporting international corporate clients.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
The ability to handle multiple tasks and multiple business issues based on their stated priorities is critical for the position.
Negotiation skills and detail oriented.
Microsoft Package understanding
Good written and verbal English.
