You will be a System Engineer for the ISM (In-Space Manufacturing) activities, supporting the end-to-end system design, from technology development to flight missions and ISM solar array commercial products.

Responsibilities:

• Support the development of Dcubed´s world first in-space manufacturing (ISM) technology
• Work with the PMs and a multidisciplinary technical team to design technical system architectures for tech demo missions and customer products
• Plan system requirements to comply with customer and ECSS / NASA specifications, including component-level requirements
• Create systems verification plans and design verification activities
• Manage interfaces between subsystems
• Maintain technical budgets for the system
• Prepare technical documentation and participate in stakeholders' meetings

Das bringst Du mit

• BS / MS degree in Engineering (aerospace, mechanical, electrical or a related subject)
• 5+ years of experience with space system development or satellite systems design
• Knowledge of engineering standards used in space industry (eg ECSS, MIL)
• Knowledge/experience of system engineering processes
• Knowledge of space environment
• Fluent in English
• Eligible to work in Germany

Nice to Have Requirements:

• Proven record of successful flight of satellite missions in a system engineering role
• Understanding of structures, thermal control, and electrical systems
• Comfortable coding in Python
• Skilled with data visualization and sharing of information
