Main purpose of the Product Development Coordinator role:
This is a full time, entry level, role for a candidate who is eager to work in a fast-paced environment and be hands on with the creation of design concepts. This person will be responsible for assisting in the execution of the current PD process and goals while maintaining quality and costs that meets company expectations and standards. This position will report to the Product Developer and work closely with international partners, tech design, production, and other cross-functional teams.
Major Responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Manage and track development after tech pack stage through production and provide accurate cost estimates to help guide Design
- Assist with vendor allocations and communication
- Assist with negotiating FOB cost and consolidate suppliers for cost leverage
- Update and maintain weekly Product consoles, Vendor WIPs, organize and entering costing
- Facilitate the development of aesthetically correct samples that meet designs vision up to PP sample
- Create cost targets for all styles before tech packs are sent and engineer all garments upfront to ensure IMU goals are met
- Assist with managing the development WIP including T&A proto tracking, sample management, and costing
- Assist with negotiating component costing for all styles confirming costs at the right price
- Keep up to date with PD reports including best seller reports, adoption rate, line plan and allocation reports
- Complete ad-hoc tasks and assignments as directed by management

- Must be able to thrive in a fast paced environment and short lead calendar (5 months)
- Must be able and willing to lift and carry up to 10 lbs., perform frequent repetitive finger, hand and wrist motions, as well as bending, stooping, reaching, squatting, kneeling, pushing, and pulling
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in design related field
- In depth knowledge of textiles, sourcing, and development
- 2-3+ years work experience in Product Development or similar role
Preferred Qualifications:
- Fabric knowledge
- Experience with costing and overseas vendor communication

A reasonable estimate of the current base hourly range is $21 - $24/hr.
