Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Quality Engineer to join our team at Onicon. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in controlling the Quality Management System.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
· Perform visual, and dimensional inspection on incoming parts.
· Monitor quality system performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports, including scrap, first past yield and rolled throughput yield.
· Assist with audit preparations.
· Manage UL requirements.
· Assist with the control and disposition of nonconforming materials.
· Work proactively with the manufacturing team on projects to reduce scrap.
· Lead the EHS program.
· Establish and lead the internal audit program for monitoring training, work instructions and process control.
· Other Quality duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills Requirement:
· Strong understanding of quality control procedures and testing methods.
· Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 17025 quality systems.
· UL experience.
Education and Experience Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree required.
· Quality Management Systems Internal Auditor Certification preferred.
· 3+ years of experience in Quality Systems in a technical manufacturing or custom engineered manufacturing environment.
· Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
