Job Description

Join our talented culinary team as a Pastry Commis at Swissotel Corniche Park Towers Doha, Qatar! We're looking for a detail-oriented and innovative individual to assist in creating delectable pastries and desserts that will delight our guests.

Assist the Pastry Chef in preparing a wide range of pastries, desserts, and baked goods
Follow recipes and techniques precisely to ensure consistent quality and presentation
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
Collaborate with the kitchen team to meet production goals and deadlines
Support the creation of new pastry items and seasonal menu offerings
Properly store ingredients and finished products to maintain freshness
Assist in inventory management and stock rotation
Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge
Contribute to a positive and efficient work environment

Qualifications

Culinary diploma or certificate, preferably with a focus on pastry arts
Strong culinary skills, particularly in pastry-making and baking techniques
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
Familiarity with kitchen equipment and pastry tools
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
Team player with strong communication skills
Creative mindset and willingness to learn new techniques
Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and adjusting recipes
Passion for the culinary arts and dedication to customer satisfaction
Prior experience in a professional kitchen is preferred but not required
