Intern - Accounting for Sustainability Certification

Your Tasks

ISCC – International Sustainability and Carbon Certification is one of the leading certification systems for sustainability, traceability and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. If you are passionate about sustainability and would like to join our highly motivated and diverse teams to make a difference, we are looking forward to welcoming you as Intern for the Finance&Accounting Team.

• You will handle correspondence from the Invoicing inbox and process requests or allocate to other team members where necessary 
• You will assist in accounting process documentation (Verfahrensdokumentation) in accordance with respective regulations (GoBD)
• You will transfer the relevant data from audit reports to internal database & issue invoices to ISCC System Users as the final step 
• You will assist with accounting processes such as ensuring that invoicing data are correct and compliant with e.g. tax regulations
• You will assist in internal database maintenance
• You will communicate and support debtors in German and English
• You will assist in other Accounting-related projects
• You will assist in general office tasks
• Other tasks depending on skillset – development opportunities within accounting and other departments in the long term

Your Profile

• Enrolled student in the area of Finance, Business Management, Economics, Sustainability Management or related fields and availability for a full-time six-month internship 
• Excellent written and spoken language skills both in English and German (at least C1), other language skills would be of great advantages
• Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and presentation skills and a supportive and service-oriented attitude
• A high degree of initiative, very good self-organization and good analytical thinking
• Preferred: professional experience in Accounting and/or Process documentation
• High IT proficiency and very good working knowledge of MS Office
