Job Description
The Regional Ocean Pricing Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the procurement and pricing strategy for global ocean freight RFQs. This position is responsible for coordinating and executing pricing activities, analyzing market trends, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure competitive and accurate pricing proposals.
Key Responsibilities:
RFQ Management:
Coordinate and manage the end-to-end process of global ocean RFQs, including data collection, rate analysis, and submission.Pricing Strategy & Execution:
Develop and maintain pricing models to support strategic decision-making. Ensure pricing proposals align with company objectives and market conditions.Carrier Engagement:
Liaise with ocean carriers to negotiate rates, gather pricing intelligence, and maintain strong relationships.Data Analysis & Reporting:
Analyze historical pricing data, market trends, and competitor benchmarks to support pricing decisions. Prepare reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders.Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with sales, operations, and procurement teams to align pricing strategies with customer needs and operational capabilities.Compliance & Documentation:
Ensure all pricing activities comply with internal policies and external regulations. Maintain accurate documentation of RFQ submissions and pricing records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, International Relations, or related field
- Experience working in the freight forwarding or NVOCC business
- 5+ years of experience in ocean freight pricing, procurement, or logistics
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and pricing tools
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
- Familiarity with global trade lanes and carrier networks is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with sales, operations, and procurement teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Required Software Skills:
Microsoft Excel (Advanced):
Proficiency in formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data visualization for pricing analysis and reportingMicrosoft PowerPoint & Word:
Ability to create clear, professional presentations and documentation for internal and external stakeholdersData Visualization Tools (Preferred):
Knowledge of Power BI or Tableau for building dashboards and visualizing pricing trends
