Job Description

Job Title: Corporate Accountant

Job Location: 17725 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77094

Job Overview:

The Corporate Accountant is responsible for preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, and assisting with audit preparations. Candidates must be highly motivated, detail-oriented, self-starters who are able to multi-task effectively. Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills are also required.  

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements 
  • Performing monthly bank and credit card reconciliations 
  • Preparing account analysis including reconciliations for specific G/L accounts for month end close. 
  • Preparation and reconciliation of intercompany balances and transactions, ensuring proper allocation, reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies. 
  • Assist in year-end audit and tax preparation processes. 
  • Use advanced Excel tools (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas) to create reports, track financial data, and streamline workflows. 
  • Contribute to improving processes and optimizing accounting procedures. 
  • Work closely with Accounting Manager and cross-functional teams to gather financial data and provide insights. 

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting / Finance preferred 
  • At least 3-5 years of work experience in an Accounting / Finance field  
  • Strong knowledge of fundamental accounting principles. 
  • Proficient in Quickbooks Desktop and Online, MS Excel. 
  • Experience accounting for multiple sets of company books. 
  • A positive, kind attitude toward others and strong customer service skills 
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
  • A collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills, who desires to pursue our Core Values of practicing Joy, Transparency, Excellence and being Neighborly

  • Occasionally bending, twisting, and turning.
  • Sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
