Job Description

Mō te tūranga | About the role

We are looking for an exceptional handy-person to maintain our community's buildings and facilities, and contribute to the quality of our resident's lives through responsive and supportive assistance.This is a 20-hours per week, fixed term contract.

This role is packed full of variety, where no two days will be the same. The successful applicant will have a maintenance/trade background and be responsible for:

• carrying out scheduled routine checks
• resolving planned and unplanned maintenance issues
• supervising and assisting contractors
• collaborating with others within the community to ensure the premise is maintained to a high standard at all times

Qualifications

Our ideal candidate will have:

• Good DIY skills and experience with facility maintenance
• Understanding of local and central government compliance schedules (BWOF)
• High energy, physical fitness, and enthusiasm
• Ability to manage technical systems and use computer software effectively
• Honesty, integrity, and great communication skils
