We are seeking a highly skilled International Accountant to manage full-cycle accounting and tax compliance for our operations in Poland, Germany, and the United Kingdom. This is a challenging and dynamic role requiring deep knowledge of cross-border tax compliance, multinational accounting standards, and the ability to work across multiple regulatory environments simultaneously.
Сompany operates in the automotive industry, so previous accounting experience in this sector will be considered a strong plus.
You will be directly responsible for ensuring that our books, tax returns, and statutory filings meet the requirements of each jurisdiction, while maintaining consistency with international reporting standards.
Key Responsibilities
Manage general ledger accounting for entities in Poland, Germany, and the UK, ensuring compliance with Polish Accounting Standards (PAS), German Commercial Code (HGB), and UK GAAP/IFRS.
Prepare and submit statutory tax declarations, including VAT in all three countries, CIT (Poland), Körperschaftsteuer (Germany), and Corporation Tax (UK).
Ensure cross-border tax compliance by coordinating with local tax advisors and regulatory authorities.
Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual closings for each entity.
Liaise with auditors in multiple countries to ensure timely completion of statutory audits.
Prepare consolidated financial reports under IFRS for group reporting purposes.
Maintain and reconcile intercompany transactions.
Work with multiple accounting and ERP systems, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with local filing software.
Requirements
Education: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Professional qualifications: ACCA, CIMA, Biegły Rewident, ACA, or equivalent.
Experience: Minimum 5 years in accounting with at least 3 years in an international, multi-entity environment. Experience in Automotive, EV area is a huge plus.
Technical expertise:
PAS, HGB, UK GAAP, IFRS.
Cross-border VAT and corporate income tax compliance.
Experience with at least one international ERP (SAP, Oracle NetSuite, Xero, QuickBooks).
Languages: Polish (fluent), English (fluent), German (advantage).
Soft skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to manage deadlines across multiple jurisdictions, excellent communication skills.
