Project Controls Specialist

Summary:

The Project Controls Specialist provides technical assistance to the Engineering Department in support of development projects and reports to the Director of Technical Service. Primary duties include financial forecasting, budgeting, project reporting, presentations, and support of document management.

 Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and schedules for capital projects in coordination with project managers and accounting
• Prepare monthly summary progress reports for senior management
• Prepare technical and commercial presentations for capital project reporting
• Support project managers with preparation of reports and schedules
• Analyze historical project costs and metrics to identify trends and statistics
• Manage integrations with forecasting, cost, and accounting systems
• Support project management tracking and estimating systems

Requirements:

• 2-year degree or technical training in business, project management, economics, finance, or accounting
• 3-5 years of industry experience
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Experience with WorkDay Adaptive preferred
• Skilled in utilizing web and desktop software systems
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet strict deadlines
• Ability to quickly learn new skills and solve problems
• Self-motivated, with acute attention to detail and can complete assignments with minimal supervision
• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
• Experience in pipeline, midstream or oil & gas industry is a plus
• Additional years of relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of formal degree
