As an Inside Sales Representative for embecta, you will play a key role in the successful marketing and promotion of all related products in our portfolio. This includes initiating calls to customers, building rapport, discussing existing GPO contracts, sharing competitive product differentials with the result being the promotion of customer retention and driving sales growth.
Generating sales leads to an expanding customer footprint in the existing region, achieving quarterly and annual sales forecasts and quotas for covered products. Completing the sales cycle with the identified prospects, either individually or in partnership with the account manager in that territory.
The ISR must use approved tools and resources for product promotion that will be delivered through a 100% virtual platform.
This is a fully remote role and can sit anywhere in the U.S.
Responsibilities:
- Promote products (diabetes market) with customers, including HCPs and other key office personnel, using effective selling skills, active listening, proper terminology, approved product messaging, and approved promotional materials.
- Conduct support calls to ensure medical facility is stocked with approved resources such as sample products for trial, patient brochures and educational materials.
- Develop and update business plans to identify opportunities and achieve goals.
- Plan and manage daily KPIs such as sales/support call activity to defined expectations.
- Document all call information in company CRM system.
- Participate in team meetings and live trainings/meetings (when required)
Ability to:
- Successfully complete client training and meet training expectations.
- Work a schedule that accommodates potentially different time zones.
- Must have a dedicated home office, free from noise and other disturbances.
- Results-oriented with a track record of success and an ability to drive sales in a matrix environment.
- Self-motivated, disciplined self-starter with an ability to work independently.
- Expertise in identifying opportunities and growing sales in assigned territory.
- Ability to adapt quickly to change and work effectively on various assignments.
- Good organizational and planning skills, strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills including verbal, written, presentation, interpersonal and active listening skills.
- Strong learning agility with an ability to learn, understand and communicate complex technical/medical terminology and to maintain the required technical expertise including competitive product knowledge.
- 5% travel (including overnight and/or weekends).
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university required.
- 1+ years of B2B experience, preferably in medical device sales.
- Proficient technical aptitude with computer technology and devices (e.g. Microsoft Office, CRM experience, iPad, apps, etc.
Preferred Requirements:
- You should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, be able to establish customer rapport and build business relationships and demonstrate the ability to learn and implement Consultative Selling.
- B2B virtual/inside sales experience.
- Pharmaceutical/medical sales.
Competitive hourly rate based on experience and qualifications: $42.10-$55.80 per hour (subject to variation depending on physical location).
