Job Description

As an Associate on the Industrial Capital Markets Team, you will receive an introduction to all the firm’s business functions as well as instruction by senior professionals in real estate and sales while being an integral part of one the fastest growing commercial real estate firms in the country. Initial responsibilities will focus on creating new business opportunities for the Industrial Capital Markets team via daily prospecting, networking, researching and cold calling. You will be expected to become a local real estate market expert, and highly skilled in producing successful client outcomes on real estate transactions.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop a deep understanding of the industrial real estate market by sourcing and analyzing the latest market research, historical data, and emerging trends.
  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within one of the area’s most high-potential industrial regions.
  • Execute extensive outbound prospecting, including cold calling, in-person visits, and other targeted business development activities.
  • Conduct detailed seller and property research to support pursuit strategies and transaction execution.
  • Create, manage, and maintain an organized database of property owners, sellers, and prospects, ensuring timely follow-up and relationship tracking.
  • Schedule and lead in-person meetings and calls with prospective sellers to build relationships and uncover opportunities.
  • Assist in preparing and delivering property tours, client presentations, proposals, and market reports.
  • Maintain regular, professional interaction with clients, prospects, and industry contacts to strengthen relationships and expand the network.
  • Contribute to team marketing efforts and business development initiatives that drive deal flow and market presence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or related field required.
  • 1–3 years of experience in commercial real estate, investment sales, capital markets, or a related business development role preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in outbound prospecting, including cold calling and in-person business development.
  • Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to identify, track, and evaluate prospective sellers and properties.
  • Highly organized with proven ability to maintain detailed databases and manage multiple active pursuits simultaneously.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with confidence in leading in-person meetings and phone calls with clients and prospects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required; experience with CRM systems, CoStar, or similar real estate research tools preferred.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently while thriving in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Professional presence, strong client-service orientation, and ability to build lasting relationships within the industrial real estate community.
