The Employee Relations Partner plays an integral role within the Human Resources (HR) department and as part of the Americas Employee Relations team by developing and deploying effective people-related strategies throughout dentsu’s many faceted and diverse organization. This exciting temporary role is part of an essential function that helps to optimize the employment experience of all employees by, among other activities, working with HR and the Company’s practice areas and functions in the U.S., to help employees reach their professional potential in a fair and respectful environment. This role necessarily impacts all aspects of the organization by working with, and helping to develop, HR professionals and people managers, partnering with several functional areas, to help the organization to achieve its goals. This is a temporary role through December 31, 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
You will:
- Partner closely with HR and leadership on strategy and execution of the Employee Relations function in alignment with the organization’s Americas and global strategy
- Participate in and lead projects as an integral member of the extended HR community
- Provide strategic Employee Relations support, business partnership, thought partnership, and coaching to all levels of the organization.
- Proactively assess team, manager, and organizational development needs, make recommendations, and implement appropriate solutions
- Provide data analysis and reporting solutions based on business needs, highlighting key trends in employee relations to proactively address developing concerns
- Apply employee and labor relations expertise to successfully identify trends, gaps, and challenges; develop, recommend and execute solution-focused strategies and programs to enhance employee experience and mitigate risks
- Research and explain laws and legal issues concerning employment to HR, managers, supervisors, and employees, and draft and revise policies as needed
- Advise and train HR, managers and supervisors in best employee relations practices and strategies for managing employee concerns and employee grievances. Develop other training, as needed
- Conduct investigations, advise on, and collaborate, to resolve complaints and other Employee Relations issues
- Work closely with managers and leaders to provide HR/ER guidance on day-to-day employee matters involving performance management, policy application and workplace grievances
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of relevant experience working in Employee Relations in the US and/or working as an HR Business partner with significant Employee Relations component.
- Spoken and written professional fluency in English.
- Degree/Certification in Employee Relations, Human Resources or related field and/or SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP a plus.
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
- Ability to quickly connect with people across a wide variety of backgrounds
- Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies
- Ability to remain respectful and persuasive in difficult, controversial and/or confrontational situations.
- Maintain a high degree of professionalism and ability to interface with all levels of the organization
- Experience using data to identify insights that drive action. Proficient in MS Office programs (including Excel). Ability to manage projects and crisis situations when they arise
- Ability to identify training needs and to develop and deliver training
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maturity
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
Additional Information:
The annual salary range for this position is $136,000-$219,650. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law. Temporary employees are eligible for paid holidays in accordance with dentsu policy, as well as safe and sick time. This position is not eligible for any other benefits or other compensation.
