Internship Program Overview:
Our Interns & Co-ops are our entry-level talent pipeline for GF across the globe. Summary of Role:
GlobalFoundries' Tax & Subsidies Team is looking for eager interns to join their team and help manage, analyze, and visualize the vast amounts of available data needed for tax accounting, tax compliance, transfer pricing, and overall tax planning. This intern position will provide opportunities to work with people across the company’s Tax & Subsidies Team as well as across the broader Finance Team.
Essential Responsibilities include:
- Analyze actual and potential accounting transactions and perform research as needed
- Assist in developing and optimizing Alteryx workflows to automate complex financial calculations involving actual, budgeted, and forecasted data
- Support the analysis and modeling of intercompany transactions and transfer pricing impacts on corporate tax metrics, including effective tax rates
- Collaborate with the Tax & Subsidies team to design tools that streamline data processing and enhance reporting accuracy for global tax compliance
- Contribute to documentation and testing of automation solutions to ensure reliability, scalability, and alignment with internal financial systems
Other Responsibilities:
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
Required Qualifications:
- Education – At least a sophomore at time of application and actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in tax, finance, accounting, economics, business administration, or related field through an accredited degree program during the time of internship.
- Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and be in good academic standing
- Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)
- Travel - Up to 10%
- Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior related internship or co-op experience
- Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc.
- Project management skills, i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong planning & organizational skills
- Familiarity with Alteryx and PowerBI (or similar data analytics and visualization platforms)
