We are looking for a talented individual who shares our values to join our team as a Billing Clerk/Receptionist. This position reports to the Accountant.
THE ROLE:
The Billing Clerk/Receptionist’s primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Answer all incoming telephone calls and receive visitors at the reception area.
- Take orders, key invoices, deliver and receive notes and enter credit notes into the computer system.
- Prepare correspondence, weekly and monthly reports as assigned.
- Open and distribute incoming mail, sorting weekly wage envelopes, and preparing, as necessary, duty-free letters and C60 forms.
- File paid local processed vouchers
- Assist in covering duties in other areas of the accounting department when required.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED:
- At least 5 CXC’s including Accounts, Mathematics and English.
- A minimum of one (1) year’s experience in cashiering, accounts or customer service.
- Experience in dealing with the public face-to-face and via the telephone.
- Good numerical skills.
- Computer literate, with a working knowledge of spreadsheets and word-processing packages
- Good telephone manners.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Customer-oriented.
- Ability to work under pressure and stay calm.
- Flexible and adaptable.
