The Simple Credit Crew has end-to-end responsibility for the Commonwealth Bank Simple Credit business. We consist of squads that look after the development of the StepPay and Line of credit products, acquisition, the growth of our portfolio including new products and features and end-to-end process improvement.

 Working in the New Product Development squad, this Snr Product Manager role is a pivotal role to the success of the squad. You will report to the Chapter Lead for Simple Credit Product and Solutions, who will support you with your performance and development. As a member of the squad, you will support the Product Owner in shaping our product offerings, enhancing the customer experience and driving business growth. You will play a critical role in shaping our growth and usage strategy, developing the product value proposition, collaborating with the squad to deliver exceptional customer experiences, driving portfolio growth whilst also being responsible for ensuring changes are safely executed and risk outcomes are met.  

 

Key responsibilities will include 

• Product strategy: Contribute to the development and execution of Simple Credit’s strategy and product roadmap from solution development through to delivery

• Market research and analytics: Identify trends, customer preferences, regulations, and competitive landscape to inform product development

• Product development: Lead the end-to-end product development process, from ideation and concept development to launch, ensuring products are designed to meet market demands

• Risk management: Responsible for proactively managing risks including performance of regular controls, robust product governance, identification of issues, escalation and swift resolution of issues including remediation  

• Customer experience: Continuously improve the customer experience by reviewing and enhancing product features, benefits, and digital experience

• Cross functional collaboration: Work closely with cross functional teams, including technology, credit risk, finance, marketing and compliance, to ensure seamless product delivery

• Compliance: Ensure Simple Credit’s products comply with all relevant regulatory requirements and assist with regulatory responses

• Performance Analysis: Analyse product performance, KPIs and customer complaints to identify areas for improvement and opportunities for growth

• Ability to drive business value and execute on a roadmap of strategic initiatives whilst balancing squad deliverables

• Experience in incorporating design thinking and analytics to drive digital customer experiences

• Advanced communication, stakeholder engagement and influencing skills

• Proven problem-solving skills coupled with a strong ability to innovation and think differently about strategies to grow the portfolio

• Proven experience in delivering strong outcomes in an Agile environment

• Advanced ability to identify roadblocks or dependencies and resolve/escalate to your manager as required

• Ability to think analytically and use data and insights to make decisions

• Sound commercial acumen

• Strong retail product knowledge is preferred, experience managing banking products highly regarded

• Passionate about the Payments industry and building different payments experiences

• Tertiary qualification in a Business / Commerce Degree Preferred
