Job Description:

The Business Intelligence Analyst will join a global team that provides development and support for Business Intelligence (BI), Reporting, and Data Warehousing solutions to the 1500+ global professionals with visibility from all levels of the organization, including executives. You will collaborate with technical partners like data architects, data engineers, and data scientists to deliver compelling analytics solutions that unleash valuable business insights. You will assess and scope user requirements, determine feasibility, recommend options and alternatives, and ultimately deliver a front-end BI solution that provides an exceptional user experience.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to scope and estimate business requirements and translate those requirements into technical solutions.
  • Develop Power BI front end solutions with outstanding User Experience.
  • Develop Multidimensional and Tabular Models with measures and aggregations.
  • Use DAX, R, Python or other similar tools as necessary to solve analytics and business intelligence related problems in the course of developing solutions.
  • Develop SQL Views, Power Queries, and Power BI data models.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data quality issues in BI platform and source systems
  • Conduct training to help end users leverage and enhance their knowledge of the BI platform and tools.

Skills/Experience Requirements:

  • 2+ years experience in business intelligence dashboard, visualization, and reporting development, Power BI preferred
  • 2+ years experience with relational databases, proficient in SQL
  • DAX experience
  • Python or R experience preferred
  • Experience working with business partners to translate needs and questions into actionable insights
  • Demonstrated ability to understand, discuss and document complex data models
  • Knowledge in Enterprise Resource Planning systems, including areas such as finance, supply chain, sales, inventory etc., preferably within a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge in Relational Databases, Data Warehousing and Modeling techniques
  • Knowledge in Agile software development and DevOps preferred
  • Knowledge in Data Quality and Governance preferred
  • Basic knowledge in data science and machine learning techniques is a plus.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, especially in data modeling and BI platforms
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with diligence and accuracy
  • Ability to collaborate and function in a team environment

  • Knowledge of change management concepts and processes

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, business analytics, engineering, mathematics, statistics, computer science or similar degrees

Supervisory/Responsibility:

This team member is an individual contributor.

Work Environment:

This is an office position at the corporate office. 

Position Type:

This is a regular, full-time position with the understanding that a regular workweek will require extended days and hours as needed to meet business needs.

Travel:

Occasional domestic and/or global travel may be required for this position.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of the those performed in the job duties.  The team member sits at a desk and uses a computer for prolonged periods of time.  Performing the role frequently uses close vision, speech, hearing, and dexterity to operate office equipment.  The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
