About the Role
The Partnerships Director builds and manages strategic relationships with global partners and licensors to drive revenue growth, expand audience reach, and secure high-value partnerships for Dow Jones and its brands, including The Wall Street Journal. This role combines business development with relationship management, reporting to the Vice President of Partnerships & Licensing, APAC, and managing the Dow Jones Media Partnerships Manager.
About the Team
Our Business Intelligence team provides services, solutions, and support to a wide range of clients, including financial institutions, corporations, universities, government agencies, executives, and business professionals.
You Will
Develop and execute a territory strategy to grow partnerships, revenue, and subscriptions in the APAC region.
Identify, evaluate, and negotiate new partnership opportunities with Tier 1 media, technology, membership, and loyalty organizations.
Retain and grow existing partnerships by delivering ongoing value and engagement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Legal, Finance, Marketing, Sales, Events, Advertising) to achieve partnership goals.
Represent Dow Jones at relevant associations, conferences, and events.
Partner with the Content Licensing and Risk & Compliance teams to acquire global content.
Maintain accurate records, contacts, and notes in the CRM system.
Manage and develop the Media Partnerships Manager, ensuring a clear regional growth and acquisition plan.
Act as a brand ambassador for Dow Jones professional products and flagship titles, such as The Wall Street Journal.
You Have
10+ years’ experience in a strategic, advisory, or relationship management role.
Strong understanding of the media landscape and interest in emerging technologies.
Proven experience managing partnerships across media, telcos, associations, and membership organizations.
Demonstrated success in high-value business negotiations.
Excellent relationship management and stakeholder influencing skills.
Solution-oriented approach with a track record of meeting goals.
Fluency in Mandarin preferred.
Willingness to travel occasionally.
