Work Location: 2015 Spring Road Suite 400, Oak Brook, IL 60523
Salary: $26.00 per hour, with an additional one-time lump sum payment to support expenses
Duration: May to August 2026 – Summer Internship
Position Responsibilities
Supplier Research & Data Analysis: Assist in gathering and analyzing supplier information, pricing trends, and market data to support sourcing strategies.
Purchase Order Support: Help prepare and process purchase orders, track order status, and follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
Cost & Savings Analysis: Support cost savings projects by compiling data, analyzing spend, and identifying opportunities for efficiencies.
Supplier Relationship Support: Assist in maintaining supplier records, updating contact information, and tracking performance metrics.
Contract & Documentation Management: Help organize procurement contracts, agreements, and compliance documentation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with operations, planning, and finance teams to align purchasing activities with production needs.
Process Improvement: Participate in projects aimed at improving procurement processes and enhancing supplier performance.
Administrative Support: Perform general administrative tasks, prepare reports, and create presentations for procurement leadership.
Qualifications
2 – 3 years of progress towards a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Procurement, or related field.
Overall and within major GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; knowledge of ERP systems a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Interest in procurement, sourcing, and supply chain management within the food manufacturing industry.
