Deutsche Bank’s Innovation team identifies, evaluates, and incubates cutting-edge technical innovation. It is part of the Chief Strategy Office of Deutsche Bank’s Technology, Data & Innovation (TDI) function and works globally with all business lines and infrastructure functions. A focus of the team is to create ssvalue for clients and the bank using Artificial Intelligence, Large Language Models (LLM) and other advanced data-driven technologies.  

As a Senior AI / ML Engineer in the Innovation team of the TDI Chief Strategy Office you will lead technical teams to identify, evaluate, and execute data- and AI-driven innovation projects.

Your key responsibilities

• Using advanced technologies and tools to work on pioneering projects and developing a range of innovative information and data powered solutions, involving Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML)
• Designing and building high-quality software products that use AI and other advanced data-driven technologies to create sustainable value for Deutsche Bank. Working in a cross-functional team using your technical expertise to identify, evaluate and execute data- and AI-driven innovation projects
• Contributing to identifying and evaluating applications of these technologies by providing your technical insight to your team and various other stakeholders across Deutsche Bank
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams (product, infra, research) to scale AI/ML applications
• Continuously evaluating new AI research, libraries, and frameworks to integrate into our tech stack
• Communicating technical concepts and results effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences, and measure success by the business value your solutions generate

Your skills and experience

• Experience in applying AI, machine learning and/or data science in business and/or academia and experience in developing high-quality, production-grade software
• Experience in designing, developing, and deploying AI/ML systems using GCP services (Vertex AI, Big Query, Cloud Run, GKE, etc.)
• Solid Python engineering skills with focus on data processing, model development, and deployment
• Familiarity with – AI/ML: Vertex AI, Transformers, Lang Chain, Hugging Face, PyTorch, scikit-learn, Tensorflow. Data: Big Query, Apache Spark, Pandas, Postgres, Vector Databases. Infrastructure: GCP, GKE, Cloud Run, Docker, Terraform. Experience with Azure and AWS will also be considered
• Familiarity with MLOps practices and CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions
• Familiarity building scalable APIs using FastAPI, Django or Flask for serving AI driven applications
