The Opportunity
Primary Objectives:
- The EMEA Pricing Manager supports the delivery of the firm’s global pricing strategy across the EMEA region. This role provides tactical and strategic pricing support to partners and business services teams, helping secure profitable, client-aligned fee arrangements and supporting the firm’s financial objectives.
Primary objectives include:
- Act as the day-to-day lead for pricing activity across EMEA, supporting both contentious and non-contentious matters.
- Deliver strategic pricing advice through financial modelling, commercial recommendations and negotiation support.
- Implement the firm’s pricing processes and policies, including client rate reviews and regional rate setting.
- Build relationships with stakeholders across legal and business functions to promote best practice pricing.
- Develop familiarity with litigation funding and insurance structures to coordinate support on EMEA disputes with global colleagues.

Primary Responsibilities:
Functional
- Provide hands-on pricing support to client and matter teams across the EMEA region, developing financial models, pricing options and commercial scenarios.
- Advise on pitch responses, RFPs, client rate cards, and matter-level pricing strategies.
- Coordinate and execute the regional pricing approval workflow, ensuring alignment with global governance framework.
- Support rate setting processes in EMEA, including client-specific negotiations and annual reviews.
- Build foundational awareness of litigation funding and risk-sharing structures to support integration into pricing conversations.
Strategic
- Embed the global pricing strategy within EMEA, ensuring delivery is tailored to local market needs and practice group priorities.
- Monitor and report on pricing activity, trends, and margin performance to inform commercial decisions.
- Support the Director of Pricing and global team in delivering regional pricing initiatives and strategic projects.
- Support the Head of Disputes Pricing & Funding to contribute local insight to inform the firm’s approach to litigation funding, risk, and value-based pricing structures.
Team
- Act as a key member of the global pricing team, contributing to a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Work closely with other regional managers and leads to share tools, learnings, and opportunities for improvement.
- Support onboarding, training and mentoring of other members of the pricing team.
- Help foster a collaborative, high-performing culture across the wider global pricing function.
- Provide guidance to junior analysts or managers as needed on EMEA-specific matters.
Operations
- Collaborate with Business Finance, BD, and Legal Project Management to embed pricing into matter lifecycle processes.
- Contribute to the creation and roll-out of pricing tools and templates, encouraging self-serve adoption by matter teams.
- Help coordinate training sessions on pricing concepts, tools, and market trends for lawyers and BD teams.
Clients
- Engage with clients directly during pricing discussions and tender processes as needed, alongside partners.
- Collaborate with Client Relationship Partners and BD to shape innovative, value-driven pricing solutions.
- Enhance client experience through tailored, commercially sound pricing support.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Accuracy and control in reporting and managing the EMEA risk portfolio, including timely escalation and decision support.
- Timely and accurate delivery of pricing support across the EMEA region.
- Successful execution of regional rate review and approval processes.
- Positive partner and stakeholder feedback on quality, responsiveness and impact.
- Progress on embedding pricing tools, processes and best practices.
- Coordination and collaboration with global pricing and business finance colleagues.
Qualification, Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 6 years’ experience in legal pricing, commercial finance or a similar professional services role.
- Experience in a global law firm setting highly desirable.
- Strong working knowledge of law firm economics, alternative fee arrangements and commercial pricing models..Financial modelling expertise with advanced Excel proficiency.
- Strong relationship and influencing skills, including experience supporting senior stakeholders.
- Familiarity with litigation funding or insurance concepts preferred (but not essential).
- Fluent in one of the following languages preferred (but not essential); French, German or Spanish.
- Experience using law firm systems such as Aderant, Elite or similar.
- Recognised professional qualification (pricing, finance or law) preferred
