Sustainability Manager

Join WSI as a Sustainability Manager, where you will play a pivotal role in delivering our sustainability objectives across construction and into operations. Reporting to the Executive Manager, Environment and Sustainability, this role ensures compliance with environmental management systems while integrating strategic sustainability initiatives.

In collaboration with cross-functional teams, you will develop key programs, provide assurance and reporting, and contribute to WSI’s long-term environmental commitment—helping us lead in sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Environment Manager to coordinate sustainability initiatives across construction and operations.

• Contribute to the development and implementation of WSI’s Environmental Management System, ensuring alignment with international airport sustainability standards.

• Support the review and execution of the WSI Sustainability Strategy, Plan, and key documentation.

• Establish robust environmental and sustainability assurance processes, including data collection and reporting.

• Prepare reports, presentations, and training materials for stakeholders.

• Manage sustainability data collection, analysis, and reporting for monthly, quarterly, and annual documentation.

• Collaborate with internal teams—Community & Stakeholder, Operations, Sustainability, Development & Planning—to drive initiatives and provide expert insights.

• Work alongside Health, Safety & Environment specialists to ensure compliance and enhance sustainability outcomes.

• Lead energy modeling, compliance, and reporting in partnership with carbon and energy experts.

• Implement sustainability rating assessment tools for operational evaluation.

• Provide expert advice on technical reports, legislation updates, and sustainability data interpretation.

• Manage external consultants and contractors to drive sustainability excellence.

About You

You are a highly motivated professional with a strong technical background in sustainability and environmental management. You thrive in cross-functional collaboration, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on implementation.

• Tertiary qualification in Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, Science, or a related discipline.

• Proven experience in a similar sustainability role within aviation, consultancy, corporate, or construction sectors.

• Deep understanding of sustainability regulations, standards, and reporting frameworks.

• Experience in ISO14001-certified Environmental Management Systems development and execution.

• Knowledge of climate-related financial disclosure and assurance processes.

• Strong critical thinking, analytical, and organizational skills, with meticulous attention to detail.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to engage stakeholders effectively.

• Highly proactive, self-motivated, and able to manage competing priorities.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a solid track record in documentation and reporting.

• Proven ability to build trusted relationships with internal and external partners.
