Fellow, Energy & Critical Minerals Practice

McLarty Associates is seeking a motivated, resourceful, highly organized individual for a 20 hours/week Fellow position to support the firm’s Energy & Critical Minerals Practice.

Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to: 

• Conducting research and analysis of energy & critical minerals related issues as well as economic, political, trade, technology, public policy, international, financial, and business issues; 
• Providing administrative support to the Senior Managing Director (coordinating and maintaining schedules, completing expense reports, event planning, making travel arrangements, etc.); 
• Monitoring news outlets for relevant energy/critical minerals policy developments; 
• Compiling biographies, preparing presentations and client deliverables; 
• Assisting firm-wide communications and collaborations; 
• Attending and reporting on speeches, panel discussions, and policy forums of interest to the firm and clients; 
• Other duties as assigned. 

Ideal candidates for this position possess a broad understanding of international politics, governance, economics, trade, technology, government relations, business, and entrepreneurship. Proficiency in one or more foreign languages is preferred, as is experience or interest in energy and critical minerals issues. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US.

• proficient with PowerPoint, Excel, Office 365, Adobe Acrobat, and other business applications and media platforms. 

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Washington, DC, McLarty Associates is required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the said market and considers a broad range of factors including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The range does not include additional benefits outside of salary.

The hourly salary for this position is $18.  This position is not benefits-eligible.
