The Salesforce Engineer I will play a vital role in helping the company maximize the value of its Salesforce investment by creating tailored solutions that address unique business needs, improve user experience, and support data-driven decision-making. Work closely with product owners and user experience teams in an agile environment to incrementally release new features and applications within the Salesforce platform. Participate in planning and collaborate with team members to facilitate solutions. Write code, formulate tests, and contribute to the continuous integration structure.
 

Responsibilities

  • Programming software applications, components, or features based on project requirements.

  • Writing and conducting unit tests to ensure the functionality and quality of the software. 

  • Implement and maintain test automation frameworks and tools to improve efficiency and coverage of automated testing.

  • Troubleshoot existing systems and applications.

  • Collaborate with Salesforce engineers, QA engineers, the Design team, and the Project Managers.

  • Using version control systems to manage and track changes to code and collaborate with other engineers.

  • Working in an Agile environment & participating in story estimation, refinement, retro meetings, etc.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Engineering) or equivalent proven experience required.

  • 2+ years of experience developing on the Salesforce.com platform.

  • Experience with Salesforce.com developer toolkit, including Apex Classes, Apex WebServices (with REST and SOAP standards), Apex Controllers, Triggers, Visualforce pages, LWC, Batch Apex, Apex Schedulers, Custom Settings, Custom Labels, SOQL, and Migration Tools.

  • Proven experience in designing and developing complex automations with Flows.

  • Agentforce AI experience would be preferred, but any usage of other AI products like Github Copilot, Google Gemini would also be a plus.

  • Well-versed in SQL, PL/SQL, and RDBMS technologies.

  • Proven experience with front-end technologies such as JQuery, JavaScript, AJAX, CSS, and HTML.

  • Proven ability to integrate business processes across disparate systems using ESB, SOAP, and/or REST-based web services.

  • Salesforce Administrator/Platform Developer 1 certification required.

  • Experience migrating metadata with Change Sets, any IDE’s, VS Code, CI/CD Pipeline familiarity is a plus.

  • Strong foundations of basic software development principles: Design patterns, Modular programming, Object Oriented design, and Microservices.

  • Demonstrate excellent understanding of various governor limits applicable to Salesforce. Ability to effectively work in a team environment with minimal supervision.

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

  • Hybrid Schedule: 3 days remote / 2 days in office

  • 30-day notification period preferred
