Job Description:

Boston Conservatory at Berklee is seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and self-motivated Audio Video Technician to join the team supporting student-centered and mission-driven work at one of the world's most innovative and inclusive institutions for the performing arts.

As part of the Performance Technology Department, this technician will play a vital role in documenting and distributing performance recordings, contributing to the academic and artistic life of the Conservatory. This is a unique opportunity to collaborate in a vibrant, forward-thinking community of artists and educators while ensuring high-quality multimedia support for student and faculty performances.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Edit and assemble individual video and audio files into professional-quality finished products

  • Sync and mix multitrack audio and video recordings using NLE software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut)

  • Transcode and manage media in various audio/video formats (.mp4, .mov, .wav, .aiff, .mp3, etc.)

  • Upload, organize, and maintain project files on remote drives and servers

  • Support live video and audio recording for student and Conservatory events

  • Provide assistance with classroom technology and sound reinforcement

  • Perform other duties as needed in support of Conservatory programming

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in video/audio editing and mixing

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects

  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite preferred

  • Experience with live audio/video recording

  • Strong computer networking skills and file management experience

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Hiring Range: $21/hour; hourly wage dependent on relevant experience and education.
