Job Summary:
A technician with previous experience repairing, servicing, or building complex equipment and tooling assemblies, basic knowledge of the components utilized for assembly of fixtures. The ability to read and understand engineering drawings, bills of material, and hydraulic schematics. The ability to operate hand tools and basic machine tools and must understand standard assembly practices. Ability to complete basic electrical components to include soldering, assembly of wire harnesses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build assemblies and carry out repair work according to processes, guidelines and safety regulations.
- Troubleshooting, repair, and testing of tools & equipment at the company’s service station in Mason, occasionally at other service stations in the US and customer sites.
- Identify technical problems and provide appropriate recommendations on assigned responsibilities.
- Completion of test reports regarding the condition of tools & equipment.
- Redlining assembly documentation for production.
- Responsible for timely completion of testing / recertification / repair orders.
- Adherence to processes, guidelines, safety regulations and manufacturer specifications
- Independent execution of assembly or service assignments.
Qualifications
Qualifications and Experience:
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and some basic electronics is a plus.
- Mechanical or technical schooling is preferred.
- 2 years or more of maintenance or service experience on mechanical evaluations and repairs preferred.
- Basic knowledge of computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Self-motivated, strong attention to detail, and accuracy.
- Ability to read and understand general procedure manuals.
- Physical condition of the candidate should allow them to perform manual labor and tasks for up to 8 hours during the day if required.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
