Service Credit Union is seeking a Courier who will perform mail runs and shipping to all branches stateside and overseas.  The courier is also responsible for the timely destruction of confidential records and must also be able to ensure that the company vehicle is cleaned and maintained. 

Pay:  Starting at $21.00 per hour. Flexible based on experience.

Hours: Full time, Monday – Friday, 8:30 – 5:00

The Day to Day:

• Daily courier and mail runs.
• This critical position must complete these deliveries daily regardless of weather. 
• Preparation and delivery or shipment of supply orders to branch offices stateside and shipping overseas.
• Generate postage and export documentation as necessary.
• Assist with UPS and other truck deliveries when needed.
• Records destruction and reorganization of records as needed.
• In charge of cardboard box disposal and recycling.
• Keep courier vehicle clean, washed & vacuumed, inspected for fluids, tire pressure etc.
• Must be punctual, and able to maintain a precise schedule.
• Replenish paper towels, copy paper, and keep supply closet full.  Reordering supplies as needed.
• Work with Maintenance Department to schedule regular servicing of courier vehicle.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Possess a valid driver’s license and maintains a clean driving record.
• Practice principles of safe motor vehicle operation and maintenance, such as monitoring fluid levels and replenishing fuel.
• Understand and abide by traffic laws, ordinances, and rules in motor vehicle operation, to include laws pertaining to cell phone use, and seatbelt wearing while operating a vehicle.
• Have a general knowledge of the geography of areas that are part of the route.
• Able to continually lift and lower packages and carry packages that typically weight 25 to 35 lbs. but must also be able to lift 70 lbs.
• Must be able to work and drive in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to the elements and road conditions.
• Must be organized and neat with an attention to detail and the ability to work with minimal supervision. 

• Excellent interpersonal, presentation and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively verbally and in writing
• Proficient with Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Power point, and various web-based applications required.
