As an Associate in Procurement Operations, you will play a key role in supporting the design, development, and continuous improvement of Moderna’s global procurement processes and systems (Ariba and SAP). In this position, you’ll collaborate closely with the Procurement Operations team, Digital, Finance, and other cross-functional stakeholders to help optimize end-to-end procurement operations, drive automation, and increase adoption and compliance across the organization. You’ll help strike the balance between efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance, delivering accurate, timely, and insightful financial and operational support while continuously improving processes to scale for future growth.


Here’s What You’ll Do:

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Provide day-to-day support to internal and external stakeholders in Procurement Operations processes.

  • Create and review Purchase Requisitions to ensure accuracy and compliance.

  • Participate in testing and validation of system enhancements and new functionalities across SAP, Ariba, and ServiceNow.

  • Deliver targeted training and support to system users (one-on-one or in small groups).

  • Provide ad hoc support across Purchase-to-Pay functions and perform relevant analyses as needed.

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and audit readiness, maintaining accurate documentation of procurement process flows.

  • Identify and support the implementation of process improvement opportunities.

Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Support Manager and broader community with the rollout, optimization, and administration of process improvement projects, many of which have cross-departmental and company-wide impact.

  • Define and enforce consistent data standards and practices internally and with external stakeholders.

  • Optimize processes to reduce redundancy, improve accuracy, and enhance operational efficiency.

  • Foster strong collaboration with internal stakeholders to address operational challenges, share metrics, and align on improvements.

  • Respond to internal and external inquiries in a timely, professional manner.

  • Prepare analysis for leadership, stakeholders, and reporting needs.

  • Partner with the Digital team to ensure tools and applications function as designed.

  • Communicate Moderna’s process standards effectively and ensure supporting documentation is clear and complete.

  • Undertake additional duties aligned to the scope of the role and your qualifications.

Here’s What You’ll Need (Basic Qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 4+ years of experience in Procurement Operations

  • Ability to own, prioritize and manage work with limited daily direction

  • Anticipate needs and proactively recommend next steps

  • Well-organized, proactive, able to prioritize in a dynamic environment

  • Strong communication skills and ability to transfer knowledge in plain non-technical language

  • Highly collaborative team player with the ability to work independently and make decisions

  • Adaptable and resourceful with a process-oriented mindset

  • Outstanding analytical skills

  • Experience with financial systems including SAP, Ariba, ServiceNow

  • Excellent English skills, both written and verbal. Additional languages are a plus
