General Description

The Director of AI Products and Adoption leads the continued evolution of the firm’s strategy around providing market leading artificial intelligence products to our lawyers and driving the adoption of legal technology. This leader will focus on the support of our legal AI products, training, and adoption. A significant portion of this role will be to collaborate with practice groups and administrative departments in the firm to foster innovation and AI-driven legal transformation for lawyers across the firm. In this hybrid position, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues both in person and virtually.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions:

  • Manage end-to-end implementation of AI products from procurement through launch and optimization.
  • Document best practices, workflows, and processes to provide targeted training, documentation, and support for end users.
  • Drive adoption and ongoing enhancements to the platforms.
  • Collaborate to design end-user training, onboarding, and user adoption programs and communications.
  • Creation of lawyer testimonials, use cases, videos, and quick reference guides.
  • Lead change management strategy for all AI and Legal Tech initiatives, ensuring stakeholders understand the purpose, value, and outcomes of new tools and processes.
  • Develop comprehensive training and onboarding programs tailored to different user groups and maturity levels.
  • Establish and manage internal champion networks to foster adoption and gather feedback.
  • Create communication plans and engagement campaigns that build momentum and sustain use of firm AI tools.
  • Oversee compliance with relevant policies to ensure information governance and compliance across platforms.
  • Management, budget, and oversight of AI vendors.
  • Partner with IT, vendors, and other third parties to address system-level technical issues, manage internal and external integrations, and implement upgrades and enhancements.
  • Identify emerging AI technologies and assess their applicability to legal practice areas.
  • Align platform strategy with broader IT architecture and governance standards.
  • Support the Innovation Practice and client-facing AI initiatives.
  • Develop, mentor, and support teams focused on artificial intelligence and change management.
  • Special projects and duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications & Education:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10+ years of experience in legal industry, knowledge management, or enterprise analytics leadership.
  • JD Required
  • Demonstrated success leading large-scale platform deployments and driving organizational change.
  • Proven ability to drive adoption of products and services
  • Expertise in artificial intelligence platforms (e.g., Harvey, CoCounsel, Copilot)
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and business functions.
  • Experience with, and willingness to continue learning in an evolving market.
  • Ability to develop effective and collaborative relationships among business teams, lawyers, firm administrative departments, and vendors.
  • Champion for change management, process improvement, user adoption, and the constant evolution of complex data strategies and needs.
  • Roll up sleeves mentality.
  • Initiative and creativity to develop unique and innovative approaches to address existing challenges and/or positively affect lawyer productivity, client service, and overall fiscal health of the firm.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex assignments with competing deadlines and priorities.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Moderate or advanced keyboard usage.
  • Willingness to work beyond regular hours and travel, as necessary.
