Purpose
The role of the Sales Manager – Greater Bay Area is to maximise revenues from the assigned territory (Hong Kong) into all LHG properties always with a view to maximizing hotels’ revenues and market share. Purpose
The role of the Sales Manager – Greater Bay Area is to maximise revenues from the assigned territory (Hong Kong) into all LHG properties always with a view to maximizing hotels’ revenues and market share. To play a key role in creating commercial success for GSO Greater China. To act as a brand ambassador in the market. Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to and execute strategies to drive sales in all segments to achieve GSO Greater China’s budget and by doing so support the hotels in achieving theirs
- Manage sales across all segments in the assigned territory but with particular focus on the Corporate, Group, Luxury and Entertainment segments
- Develop the LHG Couture program in the assigned territory with a view to hitting all associated targets, ie agency recruitment & retention, program awareness, room night and revenue generation
- Operate within the established system for account management effectiveness, 80/20 principles in terms of time invested, develop processes to ensure effective targeting of new accounts, regularly swapping out with non-performing accounts
- Support with the delivery of all sales activities in the territory including sales missions, sales blitzes, tradeshow attendance, organize and host sales trips for hotels to key target markets
- Contribute to the GSO Greater China’s Weekly Flash report to be sent to all stakeholders showcasing the Team’s sales initiatives and productivity
- Understand and engage with the annual SIP plan
- Contribute to initiatives for further improvement of regional processes
- Closely monitor and manage spend within the assigned territory under GSO Greater China always ensuring costs are on or under budget
- Solicit effective commercial partnerships for the hotels with particular focus on those in the assigned territory
- Conduct any special projects as assigned by the Director of Sales – GSO Southern China
Requirement
- At least 5 years of work experience in similar role in the region
- A collaborative team player who focuses on organizational success, business performance and building strong relationships (internal and external)
- Takes an entrepreneurial approach to achieving targets
- Be a confident and well-connected networker
- Relevant hotel or hospitality experience within a similar organisation is required
- Ability to travel locally and internationally (up to 50% of time travelling may be required)
- Knowledge and connections in the Corporate RFP, Groups, Consortia & TMCs, Entertainment and Luxury Travel markets
- Good understanding of industry systems, procedures and best practices
- Collaborative, driven and disciplined
- To always present a positive outlook, be a good communicator and networker
- Be a supporter of the LHG sales culture in terms of communication, direction and ideology
- Excellent presentation and negotiation skills to win business, influence and sustain continuous growth
- Deliver quality in any required analysis or business communications
