Ngā kōrero mō te tūranga – About the role

As Clinical Placement Coordinator, you’ll be at the heart of our Division of Health’s clinical programmes, securing and supporting placements that help our students thrive. You’ll build strong relationships with industry partners, guide students through the placement process, master our MyWIL system, and keep everything running smoothly from tracking clinical hours to managing day-to-day programme operations.

You’ll also play a key role in student wellbeing, offering pastoral care, driving support initiatives, and ensuring every student feels safe, valued, and heard while on placement. Alongside this, you’ll contribute to events and communications that showcase our world-class student experience to both current and prospective learners.

Salary will be in the range of $71,275 - $84,695 per year pro rata based on skills, knowledge and experience brought to the position. This is a fixed term role for 1 year covering parental leave. This will be full-time (37.5 hours a week), based on our Hillcrest Campus.

You’re a confident communicator with excellent organisational skills and a sharp eye for detail. With a relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience, you bring high levels of computer literacy, a solid understanding of the tertiary and/or health sector, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with ease. Your initiative, professionalism, and commitment to delivering outstanding service mean you can build strong relationships with students, staff, and industry partners alike.

You’re also empathetic, adaptable, and culturally aware, with the ability to support and advocate for students from diverse backgrounds. Whether working independently or as part of a team, you thrive under pressure, think ahead, and bring energy and enthusiasm to everything you do. A current full driver’s licence and an interest in professional health programmes round out your ability to succeed in this role.
