This role offers a superb opportunity to work at the heart of Scottish Government (SG) as a member of the Executive Team Strategic Governance Office (ETSGO) providing dynamic support to the Executive Team in their role leading the organisation to deliver its outcomes for Ministers and the people of Scotland.  

This team provides support to a structure of boards, all with different remits and membership, which together comprise the SG's governance system.  These include, Corporate Board, which sets the strategic direction for SG; Executive Team in all modes; Scottish Government Audit & Assurance Committee; Directors General Assurance meetings, and our Non-Executive Directors, who offer challenge and support across the governance system.
 
Responsibilities

  • Managing the ETSGO in-box and diary, including liaison with a variety of internal and external stakeholders on scheduling and diary request prioritisation.   
  • Overseeing and providing logistical support for the running of hybrid, remote and in-person Executive Team meetings.
  • Recording and supporting effective follow up of actions from Executive Team meetings and ensuring information is retained on the corporate record in line with good information management principles and requirements.
  • Working flexibly to provide support across the wider governance and assurance team in ETSGO.
  • Supporting team leaders to deliver learning activities across the ETSGO team. 
  • Using learning opportunities for self and team to contribute to continuous improvement.
