Job Title: Senior Test Analyst

The Digital Engagement Solutions (DES) Tribe within Group Digital Capabilities (GDS) Division is responsible for delivering reliable and stable front-end services and products to Euroclear clients, enabling activity monitoring, reporting, and transaction execution.

The Asset Servicing (ASR) team focuses on functional delivery for the asset servicing business line, with responsibilities including:

  • Contributing to projects
  • Maintaining up-to-date documentation
  • Leading new project setups, including design, estimation, and delivery planning
  • Ensuring predictable delivery aligned with IT controls
  • Providing production support within agreed SLAs and ensuring proper resolution of production issues

Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Test Analyst with extensive experience in functional/manual and non-functional/automation testing methodologies, tools, and techniques to ensure the quality and reliability of our software applications. The Senior Test Analyst will collaborate with the squad members to identify testing requirements, analyze test results, and recommend optimizations to enhance the overall quality of our applications. Additionally, the role involves managing the test environment, including incident management, coordinate test activities and contribute to (test) automation with developers and test automation engineers.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement manual and automated test strategies and plans based on project requirements and system architecture.
  • Design, execute, and maintain functional and non-functional test cases, scripts, and scenarios, including test data preparation.
  • Conduct various types of testing (e.g. regression, integration, system) across web applications, APIs, and backend systems.
  • Define testing strategies at both epic and feature levels to ensure full coverage and alignment with project goals.
  • Draft, review, and approve test plans and scripts in accordance with IT strategy and divisional test policies.
  • Coordinate and manage test activities, including planning, budgeting, and supporting execution phases.
  • Actively participate in Agile ceremonies and provide clear reporting on test progress and quality status.
  • Monitor test results, manage defects, and recommend improvements to enhance product quality.
  • Manage test environments and assess automation opportunities in collaboration with developers and automation engineers.
  • Prepare comprehensive test reports and documentation, covering plans, cases, results, and quality improvement suggestions.
  • Support or oversee deployment from preparation through production and warranty completion.
  • Mentor junior testers and contribute to knowledge sharing through the test community (COP), while supporting deployment readiness. 

Requirements & Experience:

  • Experience as a Senior Test Analyst or in a similar role, with hands-on experience of both functional and non-functional (automation) testing methodologies and tools such as Selenium, J-Meter, MS Azure - TFS, Jira- X-Ray, and ReadyAPI.
  • Understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and practices (Software Test Life Cycle), especially in a (scaled) agile environment.
  • Solid understanding of web technologies, protocols, and architectures (HTTP, REST, SOAP, TCP/IP, etc.).
  • Experience in implementing BDD and TDD.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and recommend effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication, advisory, and persuasion skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Autonomous, self-motivated, and proactive attitude towards learning new technologies and tools in the field of functional testing.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to have):

  • Software testing certification (e.g., ISTQB) or similar credentials.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Azure DevOps.
  • Familiarity with version control systems for code management and collaboration.
