Channel Partner Management

PTC is looking to welcome a talented, passionate, and career-oriented individual into our sales organization. This role is responsible for managing Value-Added Distributors (VADs) and Indirect Sales Partners (ISPs) across Japan. The focus is on managing and developing existing partner relationships, onboarding and developing new channel partners, and aiming to meet or exceed PTC’s regional growth expectations. This role plays a key part in developing and managing the regional distribution business and requires close collaboration with other Channel Partner Managers, Channel Sales Managers, Channel Operations, Channel Marketing, and Enablement teams. The position reports directly to the Head of Channels in Japan.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales through strategic partners and achieve/exceed assigned quotas
  • Promote account and annual business planning with ISPs and VADs
  • Lead quarterly business reviews and planning sessions with ISPs and VADs
  • Conduct accurate forecasting and pipeline reviews with ISPs and VADs
  • Ensure channel partners understand and leverage PTC’s marketing and sales campaigns to maximize results
  • Execute business development activities and sales campaigns to drive additional sales
  • Develop programs and plans with VADs to recruit, onboard, and grow ISPs to enhance channel capabilities and market coverage
  • Coordinate marketing activities to effectively support sales programs
  • Support channel partners in developing and growing their business in line with PTC’s expectations
  • Ensure distribution partners deliver agreed value to the reseller landscape
  • Fully understand and articulate PTC’s products and strategies
  • Conduct all business ethically and in accordance with company procedures and guidelines
  • Frequent domestic travel within Japan

Experience

  • Over 10 years of experience including sales and management in the software industry
  • Proven track record in channel sales development
  • Experience in channel sales
  • Experience working in multicultural environments is a plus
  • Demonstrated success working across various departments
  • Experience in both partner sales and direct sales is desirable

Profile

  • Native-level Japanese and business-level English required
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Deep understanding of distributor business and organizational structures
  • Ability to scale and onboard new partners
  • Ability to revitalize existing channel partners in the region
  • Enthusiastic, diligent, and mature attitude
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment
  • Strong self-motivation, flexibility, and proactiveness
