ProgressBible is looking for a remote part-time or full-time volunteer or shared supported staff WHO CAN COMMIT TO A MINIMUM OF 24 MONTHS AND MORE THAN 15+ HOURS A WEEK!The Senior Analyst, Data Quality & Strategic Operations works alongside the Program Director to support the integrity and strategic value of ProgressBible’s data systems by leading quality assurance processes, conducting advanced data analysis, and informing organizational improvements. This role collaborates across teams and with key partners to ensure ProgressBible products are accurate, trusted, and aligned with evolving global needs. The position requires strong technical skills, systems thinking, and the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
Job Summary
The Senior Analyst, Data Quality & Strategic Operations plays a key role in advancing the mission of ProgressBible by strengthening the quality, credibility, and strategic use of ProgressBible's suite of data products and tools (ProgressBible data systems). This role combines experience in data analytics, organizational development, and stakeholder engagement to ensure high standards of data quality, meaningful analysis, and collaborative alignment with global partners.
This role brings a systems-thinking perspective and deep analytical skillset to enhance internal processes, optimize stakeholder experiences, and inform strategic decisions. Working alongside the Program Director, Business Analyst team, Technical Team, Partner Engagement, and Relationship Management teams, the Senior Analyst ensures that ProgressBible's data ecosystem is not only functional but trusted, insightful, and impactful.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance & Data Strategy
- Lead the design and oversight of quality assurance protocols for ProgressBible's suite of data products and tools, with an emphasis on data reliability, reproducibility, and clarity.
- Collaborate with the technical team to develop and refine testing strategies for data validation and dashboard functionality.
- Conduct deep-dive analysis into data anomalies and work with relevant teams to recommend sustainable fixes.
- Serve as a thought partner for the refinement of ProgressBible data systems indicators, reporting workflows, and analytical outputs.
Strategic Process Improvement
- Identify and implement process enhancements across ProgressBible's operational systems with a focus on scalability, consistency, and user-centered design in accordance with SIL's mission.
- Apply systems thinking to streamline data collection, integration, and feedback loops between partner organizations and ProgressBible tools.
- Partner with the Program Director to assess internal organizational structure and workflows, supporting adaptive planning and innovation.
Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Management
- Serve as a relational bridge with high-level stakeholders---including leaders at Mission Mutual, ETEN, or other major partner organizations.
- Participate in grant writing and related fund development activities.
- Support the documentation and communication of value propositions tied to ProgressBible's data offerings and strategic initiatives.
Analytics & Insight Development
- Conduct advanced analyses of ProgressBible data systems and related data using Python, R, Excel, or other tools.
- Support the development of key reports (e.g., SNAPSHOT, dashboard insights, metrics briefs).
- Contribute to the development and refinement of new metrics and data models.
- Translate complex analytical findings into actionable insights for leadership and external collaborators.
Capacity Strengthening & Mentorship
- Informally mentor junior team members in best practices for data analysis and quality assurance.
- Share expertise through documentation, training materials, and small group sessions.
Operational Support (As Needed)
- Assist with select administrative functions to ensure continuity of service.
- Support the Program Director and the Business Analyst team in financial oversight activities.
- Contribute to materials for leadership presentations and fund development activities.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree required in Organizational Development, Data Science, Data Analytics, Public Policy, or a related field.
- Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) strongly desired.
- At least 5 years of relevant leadership experience in data analysis, quality assurance, organizational improvement, or related areas.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, R, Excel, and data visualization platforms.
- Experience working in nonprofit, faith-based, or cross-cultural settings is preferred.
- Multilingual capability is a plus.

- May require occasional travel and participation in convenings.
Training and Orientation
- ProgressBible will provide material and a schedule for onboarding the successful candidate.
