onsemi is seeking a self-driven and motivated intern to join their Intelligent Sensor Group (ISG) Test Development team, located in Nampa, Idaho.
As a Test Engineering Intern you will have the opportunity to work closely with Test and Product Engineers in the semiconductor industry, helping to support automotive, commercial, and industrial CMOS image sensors moving through the new product development (NPD) cycle.
This opportunity will ask a student to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Work closely with Test and Product Engineering teams to implement production test requirements on high priority image sensor products ramping to production.
- Help develop test code and test methodologies to improve coverage and margin for pre-qualified devices testing at the manufacturing facility in Nampa, ID.
- Develop test routines for novel device features and leading edge product capabilities
- Gain experience with automated test equipment related to wafer probe and package test in a high-volume production environment
- Collaborate with domestic and international team members to solve product test issues
- Perform product debug and data analysis on test results
To be considered for an internship, you must be a student currently enrolled in school pursuing an accredited BS/MS degree program the following semester. Major and portfolio should be in alignment with pursuing a future career in Electrical Engineering or related field. Necessary qualifications:
- Excellent spoken and written English skills for communicating with team members from various domestic and international locations.
- Candidate is self-motivated with the ability to work independently and a strong wiliness to learn and contribute technically.
- Experience programming in high level languages such as C, C++, Python, and/or Visual Basic.
- Electric circuit coursework, preferably micro-electronics through lab and coursework.
- Ability to learn and understand electrical test equipment.
- Ability to interpret data distributions and make engineering judgements to guide debug and troubleshooting.
