Location: Franklin, Indiana (Inside Johnson Memorial)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (No weekends or holidays)

Position Summary

Johnson Memorial Hospital is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registration Specialist to join our Cardiology Department. This role plays a vital part in ensuring a smooth and professional patient experience from entry to discharge, while supporting accurate financial and clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate patient flow from point of entry to destination

• Collect and verify financial and demographic information to support billing and clinical documentation

• Schedule appointments and interview patients for medical and insurance information

• Explain departmental and hospital charges and policies

• Validate and enter charges into appropriate systems; collect necessary payments

• Answer incoming calls and direct patients and visitors appropriately

• IDX billing

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred

• Ability to learn and retain medical coding (ICD-10, CPT) preferred

• Ability to interpret insurance information; knowledge of clinical practices and medical terminology preferred

• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
