Brief
We are looking to recruit a Restructuring Associate 4+ years PQE with contentious insolvency experience to join our London office but we are also keen to hear from candidates who wish to base themselves in one of our regional offices in England but are happy to travel to London when required.
Candidates should have particular experience advising insolvency practitioners and financial institutions, and would ideally also have experience advising other major stakeholders such as litigation funders, private equity funds, debt funds and company directors. In particular, we are looking for candidates that have experience in pursuing and defending claims arising out of insolvency, antecedent transaction claims, cross-border insolvency disputes and other asset recovery processes.
Our Team
Nationally, our highly rated Restructuring team, part of our Finance and Restructuring group, advises financial institutions, turnaround and insolvency practitioners, company directors, litigation funders, private equity funds, debt funds, shareholders and other stakeholders on strategies for recovery and turnaround. We act for the largest firms of insolvency practitioners, all the major clearing banks as well as a wide variety of other lenders. We also act for specialist lenders and funds lending into distressed and other special situations, including litigation and administration funding.
We are regularly involved in complex, high value restructurings at an early stage in the financial decline curve, with the aim of providing innovative solutions which improve returns to stakeholders and, in many cases, avoid an insolvency process altogether. We have an established reputation for our complex and cross-border insolvency litigation practice too, having been instructed on a number of the most high profile contentious assignments of recent years .
