An exciting practice opportunity for a full-time Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner is available to join the Plastic Surgery Department. This position will include working collaboratively with 1 physician as well as nursing and support staff to care for patients in the areas of Plastic and Hand Surgery. The role will be primarily in the outpatient clinical setting seeing patients independently for new consultations, post operative or other follow up visits, as well as clinic procedures. There will be some operative first assisting and hospital inpatient management. No call required.
Excellent interpersonal skills are required in order to communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues. Attention to detail, self-motivation, and exceptional decision-making capabilities are a must. Prefer 1-2 years' experience as an advance practice provider in Surgical Services OR graduate of an associate provider surgical training/fellowship program.
Nurse Practitioner: Masters or Doctorate prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner. Current WI RN license and certification as a FNP or ANP.
Physician Assistant: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and licensure as a PA by the WI Board of Medical Practice.
Must be eligible for DEA registration and billing privileges
