Description
The Networking Systems Lab at Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar invites applications for a full-time postdoctoral research position in the area of applied machine learning in systems. This position is supported by a research grant awarded by the Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF) and will be jointly supervised by Prof. Khaled Harras and Prof. Moustafa Youssef. The successful candidate will be expected to relocate to CMU’s Qatar campus in Doha prior to January 1st.
Responsibilities
- Conduct high-quality research aligned with the project's vision
- Design, implement, and evaluate prototype systems and solutions
- Supervise and mentor junior researchers and students involved in the project

Qualifications
We are seeking candidates who:
- Hold a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Have a strong research background in machine learning, systems, or networking
- Demonstrate a track record of publishing in high-quality venues
- Are motivated to grow their independent research portfolio in an interdisciplinary and international setting
