Job Summary: The HR Assistant supports the HR and Operations teams with recruitment, onboarding, monthly and weekly reports and licensing processes. This role also assists the Area HR Manager and Area team with various HR projects and tracking initiatives.
Essential Functions:
Assist with onboarding processes, including documentation and compliance tracking.
Coordinate licensing requirements and follow up on renewals or clearances as needed.
Provide administrative support to the Area HR Manager and Area team on special projects and reports.
Provide monthly reports to the union.
Maintain accurate tracking of recruitment activities, onboarding status, and other HR metrics.
Follow up with Managers on Health and Safety inspections.
Perform tasks and duties of a similar nature and scope as required for assigned office.
Complete all duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
Diploma, degree or post certificate in Human Resources is required.
Understanding of recruiting methods and sources, and regulations related to the hiring process.
1 year data entry experience.
Thorough understanding of standard office procedures and practices.
Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule form.
Ability to use personal computers and office productivity software.
Ability to write correspondence.
Strong, planning, organizing, and project coordination skills.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.
Ability to be an effective team member and handle projects responsibly.
Strong customer and results orientation.
Working Conditions (Physical/Mental Demands):
Maintain composure in dealing with authorities, executives, clients, staff, and the public, occasionally under conditions of urgency and in pressure situations.
Must undergo and meet company standards for background and reference checks and behavioral selection survey.
Required ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
Computer usage.
Handling and being exposed to sensitive and confidential information.
Occasional to frequent use of a vehicle required in the performance of duties.
Regular talking.
Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 5 pounds and occasionally up to 10 pounds.
