Under the general direction of the Department Chair, Chief Administrative Office (CAO), Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and other Department leaders and in concert with other research administrative staff, you will bear primary responsibility for overseeing/supervising the Department’s pre- and post-award administration team for intra/extramurally funded research awards for Departmental Principal Investigators (PIs).


The Senior Lifecycle Research Administrator directs supervision typically to professionals or skilled technical employees. You will function as an advisor to the unit and administration, analyze and resolve problems, interpret policies (e.g., fiscal management, HR, contracts and grants, resource management in defined areas) and demonstrate solid subject matter knowledge. You will also exercise judgment within defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate action. The Sr. Lifecycle Research Administrator supervises staff to assure accountability and stewardship of department resources (operational, financial, and human) in compliance with departmental goals and objectives.


Salary Range: $95400 - $208300/Annually

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5 + years of experience in Research Administration.
  • Proven experience as an effective team leader and supervisor, guiding team members to success.
  • Expanded knowledge of financial and accounting concepts, including interpreting financial statements.
  • Strengthened interpersonal skills for effective communication and relationship building.
  • Enhanced ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and comply with policies and regulations.
  • Improved analytical skills to analyze financial data and propose solutions.
  • Heightened attention to detail in managing complex administrative and financial tasks.
  • Advanced proficiency with Adobe and Microsoft suite software.
