Per Diem - Nurse Mobile Intensive Care

Responsible for providing Advanced Life Support (ALS) care as prescribed by Departmental and Hospital policies and procedures, as well as the New Jersey Department of Health Mobile Intensive Care Unit regulations. Administers advanced nursing care and support in both pre-hospital and interfacility settings. Utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides urgent and emergent care to critically ill or injured individuals of all ages in the pre-hospital and Specialty Care Transport environment. Role requires critical thinking, clinical expertise, and the ability to make decisions in high-pressure situations, ensuring optimal patient care and safety during transport.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
NJ Registered Professional Nurse (RN) with Mobile Intensive Care Nurse (MICN) endorsement or RN with active NJ Mobile Intensive Care Paramedic (MICP)
Board Certified Emergency Nurse (BCEN) or Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) required
Completed at least one year of full-time nursing care in a critical care unit or emergency department of an acute care hospital
Knowledge of N.J.A.C. 8:41
Certifications in American Heart Association BLS, ACLS and PALS required
Certifications in ICS 100, ICS 200 and ICS 700 required
Certifications in PHTLS, BTLS or ITLS within 6 months of hire required
Valid state driver’s license with no pending violations and an acceptable driving record
Certified Emergency Vehicle Operator (CEVO) training or Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (EVOC) within 6 months of hire required
