Purpose/Description
The Public Service Maintenance Worker A-1 Parks will maintain field time records, prepare reports of work in progress, upkeep grounds of the property using various power tools or heavy equipment. This position typically performs a variety of tasks, which may include any combination of the following mowing, trimming, digging, raking, litter picking, shelter janitorial, brush chipping, weed whipping, power snow blowing, hand snow shoveling, and misc. related duties.
Required Tasks
- Repair of grounds and structures.
- Maintain field time records; prepare reports of work in progress and materials utilized.
- Operate various equipment - transport vans, A truck and trailers, backhoe, front-end loaders, Bob Cat utility vehicles, tractors, mowers and truck with now plows.
- Litter pickup, janitorial, tree trimming and brush chipping.
- Weed whipping, chain saws, power plows, power snow blowing and hand now shoveling.
- Clean equipment, check vehicle fluid levels.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Educational Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
Experience Requirements
- Must have valid State of Michigan Commercial Driver's License with type "A” with Air Brake endorsement.
- Applicants must obtain a CDL "N" endorsement within the first three (3) months of employment or promotion.
