POSITION SUMMARY
Provides financial, reimbursement and operational analysis and reporting to the Management and Providers for the entire Mount Nittany Health System.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Other business related field. May have an equivalent combination of education and/or experience in lieu of specific education.
Experience:
- Prefer three years of work experience in Healthcare Finance.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Strong analytical skills.
- Proficiency in the operation of a personal computer and the use of Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial, auditing, and compliance issues.
- Strong financial modeling skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
- Must be detailed oriented.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
License/Certification/Registration:
- Valid Driver’s license.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
Receives guidance from the Senior Financial Analyst and primary supervision from Manager of Financial Reporting and Budgeting.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assists in the data reconciliation of Kaufman Hall Productivity, Management Reporting, Capital Planning and Tracking and Comparative Analytics modules.
- Assists in preparation of the annual budget for each entity and the system.
- Assists in the analysis of strategic initiatives.
- Prepares month end statistical reports; variance reports; end journal entries; close reports.
- Assists with the data collection and analysis for bond issuances, surveys and consulting projects.
- Assists directors with maximizing their department financial opportunities.
- Assists in the data gathering for the long-range financial planning, budget, cost accounting, and contract management systems.
- Assists in record keeping of medical directorship contracts.
- Assists in maintaining the Meditech cost accounting module.
- Prepares, analyzes and inputs data regarding benchmarking data and Axiom Comparative analytics, MGMA, AMGA and Sullivan Cotter.
- Travels to Hospital and/or offsite locations to conduct audits/education/financial reviews etc.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Performs related and miscellaneous duties as assigned.
