Position Overview
The Assistant Director of Sales is responsible for driving ticket sales and working collaboratively with the athletic development team to increase attendance and department revenue. Provides excellent customer service to all patron groups including season ticket holders, single game attendees, corporate partners and prospects.
Responsibilities
- Drives department revenue by retaining current season ticket holders and bringing in new season ticket holders via cold calling of prospects from marketing lists, contacts with previous season ticket holders, single game buyers and various University club members, etc.
- Gameday ticketing responsibilities and assisting single game buyers
- Responsible for ticket operations for all outside events at Butler Athletic facilities
- Works collaboratively with the other division management in corporate sponsorships, ticket sales and fan development, and marketing and promotions to ensure superior customer service and optimization of sales goals
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 1-3 years’ experience in ticket sales
- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
- Proficient in metric tracking and project management
- Ability to prioritize, meet multiple deadlines and handle a variety of duties simultaneously
- Flexibility to adapt to irregular work hours to include nights, weekends and holidays
- An understanding of sales planning, forecasting and marketing concepts
- Ability to work in a team oriented, fast-paced customer service environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Archtics or similar program
