We are looking for a skilled Senior Java Engineer to join an important client in the banking sector. The role will focus on developing mobile functionalities and integrating them into a newly created cross-cell team. This is a great opportunity to work on innovative solutions while modernizing complex legacy systems.

This is you

• Advanced knowledge and proven experience in modernizing legacy monolithic systems.
• Strong skills in Java 8+, refactoring, and design patterns.
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture, modularization, and migration processes.
• Experience with containers and related tools.
• Knowledge of API Gateway, Consul, and distributed configurations.
• Proficiency in relational databases and database migration strategies.
• Hands-on experience with event/message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

This is your role

• Participate in the modernization of legacy monolithic applications, including refactoring and applying design patterns.
• Develop and maintain applications using Java 8 and newer versions
• Work iteratively on the design, development, and deployment of microservice.
• Implement and maintain API Gateway, Consul, and distributed configuration management.
• Work with relational databases, including migrating from monolithic to distributed database structures.
• Integrate and manage event/message queues such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Apply CI/CD and DevOps best practices to ensure smooth development and deployment workflows.
