Microsoft’s newly formed Office of Strategy and Transformation (OS&T) is looking for a Process Leader, AI Transformation to lead transformation efforts across Microsoft that will shape Microsoft’s journey to becoming a Frontier Firm.    

This role plays a pivotal part in translating strategic vision into actionable transformation programs. This role leads the design and execution of large-scale change initiatives, integrating AI tools and modern technologies to drive business outcomes. In this role, you will partner closely with product teams, internal clients, and senior stakeholders to ensure alignment, scalability, and measurable impact. This role is well-suited for individuals with a  background in enterprise transformation, systems thinking, and cross-functional leadership leveraging a consultative approach to engage stakeholders and co-create solutions, architecting end-to-end transformation strategies, integrating external learnings and best practices to inform decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Lead large-scale change programs integrating AI tools to drive enterprise transformation. 
  • Translate the 'Frontier' vision and high-level strategy into executable implementation strategies, roadmaps, frameworks, and delivery plans. 
  • Partner with product teams, engineering, business units, and internal clients to co-design and deliver scalable solutions. 
  • Mentor project managers and staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. 
  • Establish governance structures and change management practices to support adoption and sustainability. 
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement across business units. 
  • Monitor and report on program performance, risks, and outcomes to executive leadership.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field AND 4+ years process management, process execution, process optimization, or related experience
  • 3+ years experience leading enterprise-wide transformation initiatives, ideally involving AI or digital technologies. 
  • 2+ years experience mentoring and developing project managers and change agents. 
  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field AND 6+ years process management, process execution, process optimization, or related experience

Additional or preferred qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field AND 8+ years process management, process execution, process optimization, or related experience (e.g., data analytics)
  • Proficient systems thinking and expertise in change architecture. 
  • Demonstrated executive presence and ability to influence across cross-functional teams. 
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies, enterprise architecture, and systems thinking. 
  • Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into execution with measurable outcomes. 
  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field AND 10+ years process management, process execution, process optimization, or related experience (e.g., data analytics)
  • OR equivalent experience.

Process Management IC6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $277,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $303,600 per year.
